The Clerk read through a report drafted for members to show the rules and a draft advert that could be used. Cllr C Jackson thanked the Clerk for the report and suggested that the Council do not hold interviews for the role and just vote at a full Council meeting. He also suggested to advertise the vacancy for 2 weeks and put the advert on noticeboards and the Community Council website.
Cllr T Giffard also suggested 2 weeks and asked if it would be possible to start on Monday 1st July and end on Monday 15th July so the Council can vote for candidates at the July meeting. Cllr A Pucella suggested 28 days for advertising to give applicants plenty of time for applying.
Cllr K Rowlands asked if there could be something added to the advert asking applicants for background/experience that might help them in the role. Cllr T Giffard added we should add the applicant’s ability to work as a team and whether they could act diplomatically.
Meeting closed at 7:06pm
Signed by Chairperson Cllr J Spanswick
