Volunteers’ Week – a Chance to say ‘THANK YOU’ to Brackla Volunteers

Volunteers Week

This year, Volunteers’ Week is running from 1 – 7 June, and with the difficult times we are all facing, the Bridgend Association of Voluntary Organisations (BAVO) is looking to especially celebrate and recognise the wonderful volunteers that do so much in communities across Bridgend.
Their poster provides detailed information for how you and maybe your organisation can get involved and all the ways they will be acknowledging the generosity of local people including extending the national #ClapforCarers to include a #ClapforVolunteers on Thursday 4 June at 8pm.

As part of this we at Brackla Community Council want to recognise and thank the volunteers in Brackla for all their hard work both before the lockdown and now, when services and people are relying so heavily on volunteers for support. We therefore invite you to use our group page to share your thanks and highlight the amazing volunteers and their contributions to our local area. You are welcome to share your stories, your experiences and how people have gone out of their way and used their own time to help you or someone you know in some special way. This is an opportunity to show our appreciation for all their hard work.
